Biography Zelday

In the Netherlands born Zelday Karssen (1981), father of two children, is a sound healer, musician, crafter, teacher, didgeridoo specialist and spiritual awakening guidance. He studied and lives the path of sound healing and didgeridoo ever since 2001 and deeply devoted his life towards this ancient instrument and healing practise, which became his full profession in 2009. Throughout time he studied from traditional Yidaki to modern didgeridoo styles and is an international rewarded teacher when it comes to consciousness about body, sound and spirit through his teachings.

Parallel with the path of sound healing, a high pionering and experimental chaptor with his dideridoo´s taught him the diversity of this instrument in various musical genres, which performed throughout a wide international variation of festivals, concerts and projects around mainly in between 2009 and 2016.

Zelday inspired literally thousands of people with his spiritual devotion for his music, instruments and life itself. He lived throughout his life several dimensions of existence, and travelled around the planet to synchronize with her divine natural beauty. During these journeys he came in contact with various cultures and tribes in Europe, Asia, Australia, south and middle America. His pure type of awareness about our cosmological journey on this planet makes him a very sensitive and earthly person. Life experiencing from the heart, also came from a tremendous polar side effect as he experienced existence with long term shadow work in very early stages of his life. These mainly caused by the desynchronizing of his organic senses towards the modern western society. Through many years of deep transformation he analyzed the many dimensions of existence, which brought him back to his most fundamental principle of the self. Being Alive.

“Being high sensitive has been interpreted more like a disease in the world today than it is truly valued as a unique personal gift. It is those are fortuned able to feel on deeper levels, experiencing the depth and dynamics in sense and perception, but with the lack of social or cultural attention and education this gift could be ones largest struggle to survive. In fact we all have the potential to experience the endless field of senses. It is mainly about finding back the trust in your organic senses and understand on a deeper level that all your life experiences are generated from within. I went through some dark chapters which, finally, let me understand the harmony we basically are. We are dualistic beings in search of union. The union ain´t a permanent state of being, but the conscious practise of duality will teach us what it is to experience pure union. This could be practised throughout tantra, plants teachers, sound, music, yoga or any other conscious method to experience ourselves.“

His refined, organic sense of sound and energy let him grew towards a developed sound healer and through years he disciplined studied several Ethnobotanical Master Plants. Due winter times he travels to the Amazonian rainforest to deepen his awakening in the shamanic source of these specific medicines. Zelday full time dedicates his life working as an awakening guidance, sound healer and musician. Nowadays he is contributing his gifted wisdom, sound and music to the field of spiritual awakening and transformation in sessions, ceremonies and retreats.

Zelday is the facilitator of his deep respected Diamond Retreats. Those who have experienced his work know what deep healing rises out of these authentic ceremonies under his warm and safe guidance. A very professional team of specialists in the healing field are assisting aside these ceremonies. Zelday carries a life’s Medicine throughout is work, under the super guidance of plant teachers. His Ethnobotanical study has fueled deeply in the shamanic sources from South America during his so called dietas.
