At a young age I was completely in love with beatboxing, but I’ve experienced a lot over the years. When I was in an Ayahuasca ceremony last year, I started to play the music. In the end it was said to me that I had to buy a didgeridoo, which was haunting my head for a while. The next day I told a friend of my Ayahuasca experience and he told me that he had left a didg at home that I had had. It seemed like it had to be like that and the love that had been diluted flourished again completely and then for the didgeridoo. I have not been with a while since I came to a point where I did not continue with this didg. When I told this story to Zelday he knew that that didg was for me. And he was right to want this didg was what I was looking for to grow further. He had better than I imagined and he looked beautiful. I am more than grateful to Zelday for having come my way to help me in my journey and finding my dream instrument. It will certainly not be the last didg that I will buy from him and would like to keep in touch to do something and grow. Thanks Zelday!

At a workshop with Zelday Karssen I saw a didgeridoo that immediately appealed to me, both visually and in terms of length and sound / pitch. During the workshop this instrument also played and immediately fell in love and bought. The didge plays fantastic, speaks very easily and has a huge rich sound that is nicely balanced and rich in overtones. The overtones are also very easy and beautiful to bring to the foreground. A sound with a very fine balance and energy. Actually it does not let itself be expressed in words and can only be experienced by yourself. Everything you can expect from a didgeridoo class is in it and more. Playing this instrument really gives me an unprecedented joy and energy …. delicious. Hello to all who are interested in didges of Zelday!

My name is Jan Arne Jabilonski from Germany and I bought the “Eye of the Malachit”…..
Hearing its sound on the homepage was like a call. Playing it the first time confirmed that it’s truely fitting.
Its sound is rich of colours and it is like playing itself….
It connects you with the roots of nature, the primary power, the universal spirtitual network….
I opened myself, I had deep trust in this spirit inside. I found what i was looking for so long….
the inner power, what is a person without the roots?
Every sound you make got a deeper meaning and every soft opening sound is like a beginning of an story.
While playing longer the full soundspectrum is opening, there are sounds I never imagined that it could sound like that.
It is magic how to craft an didge with such an strong character.
The work of Hans is so much more than crafting and instrument.
Since playing I’m feeling mentally connected with him and he guided myself through this healing process.
His extraordinary crafting and spiritual work, shows that he is a real master.
There is just true respect, this experience got an value I can’t pay with money.
It is my awakening and recovering. It needs an higher mission and passion to do a work like him.
I’m deeply thankful for this….

I got to know him, like a soulmate, directly and totally open hearted.

The only donk key I did not have yet was a B that I planned to use for performances, recital concerts and meditation / healing sessions. It is sometimes said that a didgeridoo chooses you, and this was the case with the Golden Waves. The first tones on this beautiful instrument brought all kinds of emotions. It was as if he was enjoying my technical and rhythmic giants with great pleasure ... direct, low, sensitive, phenomenally breathtakingly beautiful. I have not experienced this connection with a didgeridoo before. The Golden Waves is now more than a month in my possession and I've played a few gigs with it. The listeners are just as impressed by the sound as I am. My game has been changed by the Golden Waves ... faster, more direct, more sensitive. Every day I play with a lot of pleasure on this didge. The multidrones are incredibly fast to play. One thing is for sure, this didge is more than striking in terms of size, but also in terms of sound!

A didgeridoo is a “personal” instrument, so you actually have to choose it personally. We call that “try”. But you risk the risk that you have an untold amount of time to look and test, and that you do not know it anymore, and give it or just, buy something that you regret a lot afterwards. With Hans Karssen it does not have to run that way. I have little time-consuming work, and have worked too fast to come. Although I did not know Hans at all, I just passed on the specifications and requirements of my dream didge, with the assignment to choose the “right” didge for me. Hans has the right voice. He has the wonderful thing to feel energetic, and he knows his products so well, that he “automatically” chooses the right didge. The strange thing was that I secretly had the same didge in mind: Medusa C. It has been more than a year since I bought Medusa C, and tried out in almost all possible situations during concert concerts. Warm, cold, humid, dry environment, it does nothing for some of the action. Magic instrument! This didge plays itself. I do not have to do anything, just to gently blow. The counterpressure is so perfect that I can easily play for half an hour, and thus bring myself back “in balance”. The keynote is a pure toned deep C, and that is great because we mainly give meditative and relaxation giving, we also have instruments that are tuned in root C. But this Medusa can do much more! The sound and tone palette is so varied that I already have a lot of positive feedback from my audience. Someone mentioned Medusa’s problem “coming home to yourself”. I can not dream of a bigger compliment …

Hello to everybody interested in the Karssen didgeridoos. I like to say that i’ m really

happy to had the possibility to know the existence of Hans and his didgeridoo´s. I saw them on youtube and i was very catched by the sound, so i discovered his site and i found Oakarus, a beautiful one that has preserved the original spirit of the tree respecting his original shape as well as the character, it carry´s a really spectacular sound, it’ s reach of harmonics, very versatile, useful for a big variety of playing styles. I have to admit that i’ m not so great in the air drum technique style that is maybe as one can instantly think the more adapt for this particular kind of sticks, but as my ears have confirmed a few hours ago that also for the more slow and capturing way of playing is perfect, the drone is a low G sharp. As i have said full of harmonics and very deep sounding, it’ s very easy to find yourself lost or maybe re-found into his sound, it’ s warm and enveloping (maybe is not the right word so i try explain better : it’ s like an hug), the trumpets are extremely clear and also easy playable, the fact that the first trumpet is low itself allows to be played easily and to have a lot of control. I’ m really satisfied by the incredible craft work of my friend Hans, i’ m glad to play and explore such a spirit full instrument and i ‘ m glad to have the opportunity to share his art to as many people i can. Something within me knew that I was going to play didgeridoo someday. In combination with my voice, the articulations are clear and clear. The didgeridoo was made to play in air drum style with parallel sounds at high speed. I had met Hans at a fair, where he gave a performance, and offered his didgeridoos for sale. I have a few, and they liked very well. We spoke to each other, and I delivered each other in Hierden (Harderwijk) to try more didgeridoos and maybe buy one. On the spot they still liked, and one in particular. The Karssen didgeridoos are long instruments, with a conical cutter, they do get the playing characteristics of high, fast F-F # didges, which are low G # C didges. That makes them very special, real enthusiasts instruments, which you will not easily find. Because I was in the market for a low didgerance, a B with B toot, exactly an octave. It is a special instrument, and I am very pleased with it.

Years ago I bought my first Didge in Delft in a New Age shop. For years I had in my head to learn to play an instrument. Practice taught me quickly that this did not work without any course and guidance. I barely got the sound as I had heard from the seller in the shop. A few years passed until I moved to Harderwijk and I went Google Googling to see if there were opportunities in the area. So I found out that in "my backyard" there was a possibility for a beginners course with Hans Karssen from Treeforce Didgeridoo in Hierden (Gld). Soon came to discover that my Didge had his limitation as a student and I bought a better lesson Didge and that went much better. I could already produce an affordable key "Drone" but the circular breathing was a bigger challenge for me. Especially because I do not consider breathing through the nose, a physical problem, to be normal. Together with my teacher, it is a step forward every time and I understand the technique behind it. I have a lot of fun in the "discovery" as Hans calls it to go even though it will take some time, but I would like to reach my goal and that is to play on a Didge. I noticed in recent times that this lesson Didge also has a restriction on my skill and progress. During the lessons I had every opportunity to try out another Didgen, made by Hans Karssen himself. I discovered that on a certain Didge, when I played it, I felt good about the instrument. I discussed that with Hans and he explained to me all this Didge specifically in me fit in relation to my playing skills at this moment and which he could give me in the future. The Didge with the name "Mars", could help me further on the path of the discovery. Then I thought carefully what I wanted and decided to purchase my first real Didge. I was also able to exchange the net lost purchased Didge and am very happy with my new acquisition. A nice case that I got from Hans completes the party. And now together on the road to play him as it should!
