What is Kambo?
Kambo is the sacred tree frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) that lives in parts of the Amazon in South America. The secretion (released from the skin) of this frog is traditionally used by various tribes as a medicinal remedy for a wide range of ailments. Indigenous groups from the southeastern Amazon rainforest who practice Kambo medicine according to tradition include Pano-speaking tribes such as the Mayoruna, Matses, Marubo, Amahuaca, Kashinawa, Katukina, Yawanawá, and Kaxinawá.
By lightly burning an agreed-upon number of small points on the skin and applying Kambo to these points, the secretion enters the body through the lymphatic system. The effects become strongly noticeable shortly after application. The heart rate increases, and the body appears to enter a feverish state in which Kambo begins its work. Multiple physiological processes trigger a deep “purge,” during which most participants experience repeated vomiting. The medicine works in waves of peaks and troughs. Typically, the cleansing process lasts between 20 and 60 minutes, depending on the number of points applied and the sensitivity of the participant.
Kambo Methodology
In my practice, I take ample time for participants. Those familiar with my work know that creating space and moving at a slower pace are central to my approach. For an individual Kambo session, we dedicate approximately 3 to 3.5 hours to complete the process. This includes an introductory conversation or preparatory discussion, as with all other sessions. This work is more than just a physical encounter with this sacrament; it is about personal transformation processes. Mapping your inner landscape is an essential part of this experience, whether before, during, or after the actual Kambo session.
After concluding the session, participants are offered organic pumpkin soup to nourish the body and mind, providing energy and grounding.

Location
These sessions take place at my home, where I have everything necessary to guide you through this experience in a supportive setting. In principle, you don’t need to bring anything, except for comfortable clothing, perhaps a personal power object, and your dedication to engaging with the Kambo process.
